In an England of the future, Alex (Malcolm McDowell) and his "Droogs" spend their nights getting high at the Korova Milkbar before embarking on "a little of the old ultraviolence," while jauntily warbling "Singin' in the Rain." After he's jailed for bludgeoning the Cat Lady to death, Alex submits to behavior modification technique to earn his freedom; he's conditioned to abhor violence. Returned to the world defenseless, Alex becomes the victim of his prior victims.

Dans une Angleterre du futur, Alex (Malcolm McDowell) et ses «Droogs» passent leurs nuits à se défoncer au Korova Milkbar avant de se lancer dans «un peu de la vieille ultraviolence», tout en gazouillant avec désinvolture «Singin 'in the Rain». Après avoir été emprisonné pour avoir matraqué la Cat Lady à mort, Alex se soumet à une technique de modification du comportement pour gagner sa liberté; il est conditionné à détester la violence. De retour dans le monde sans défense, Alex devient la victime de ses précédentes victimes.
